KINGSTON - Elijah B. Adams, 68, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at his home after a brief illness.

He was born March 6, 1890 in Lawrence County, Ky., a son of Leander and Permealia Wellman Adams. On July 12, 1913 he married Mrs. Pearlie Jane Adams who survives.

Also surviving are four sons: Earsel, near Kingston; Jewell, Bainbridge; Eugene, Liberty, Ind.; and William, Kingston; five daughters: Mrs. Lucy Belle Young, Laurelville; Mrs. Opal Forrester, Grove City; Mrs. Madeline Cassidy, Cincinnati; and Misses Gladys and Virginia Adams, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Hester Crabtree, Webbville, Ky.; and Mrs. Madeline Gallion, Ashland, Ky.; one brother: Millard, Liberal, Kan.; a half brother, Martin Wellman, Louisa, Ky.; and 29 grandchildren.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. James Justice officiating., assisted by the Rev. Clyde Adams. Burial will be in Hallsville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:30 p.m. Monday.
