Dawn Pace Brown, age 86, passed away quietly with her family beside her on August 30, 2022.
Dawn is now at peace and free from the confusion and pain that troubled her the last few years of her life. She has been reunited with her beloved husband, Fred Brown, and other family members who preceded her in death. There is a great after party underway with many family members and friends who were blessed to know of her unfailing kindness and great heart.
Dawn was born on October 17, 1935 in Montwell (Cedarview), Utah, in the homestead ranch built by her father Dan Pace and mother Erma Labrum Pace Carter. She lived most of her life a stone's throw away from the homestead. This was where she felt at home in the land that she knew and loved. She is survived by her son Kyle, daughter-in-law, Debbie, two grandsons, Justin and TR and three great-grandchildren, Ivey, Audrey and Carter. She is also survived by a brother, Aaron (Carma) Pace. She was preceded in death by a sister, Clea Pace Anderton.
For over four decades, Dawn and her husband Fred were loyal and dedicated square dancers. They made hundreds of cherished friends through many years of travel throughout the Rocky Mountain states. They dance on a dam, danced in their pajamas, danced in a swimming pool and danced in Hawaii. Dawn and Fred fellowshipped many people into the square dance world teaching hundreds of people the fun and friendship of dancing.
Dawn was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in her wards and stakes throughout her life. She served as a veil worker, along with her husband, in the Vernal Temple for many years. She had a pioneer testimony of the restored Church of Jesus Christ. She, following her savior, loved unconditionally throughout her life. She was quick to forgive and give you the benefit of the doubt.

The family desired to hold a private family graveside service in the Cedarview Cemetery. Dawn was laid to rest alongside the love of her life, Fred, on September 6, 2022.
