Obituary for Kenneth Edward Patterson
A memorial service for Kenneth Edward Patterson, age 85, of Lindale, Texas is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Lindale with Dr. Tom Buck and Pastor David Attebury officiating.

Kenneth passed away September 22, 2022, in Lindale. He was born in Porum, Oklahoma on August 23, 1937, to Bradil and Mamie (Hardcastle) Patterson.

Kenneth was a graduate of Central High School, Tulsa, Oklahoma and East Central State University, Ada, Oklahoma. Kenneth went to work for Johns Manville Corp in 1968 and retired after 30 years. "Ken" worked in the Transportation Dept and the Internal Audit Dept, moving from Pittsburg, California to New York and back to Denver, Colorado, where the Corporation moved its headquarters. Ken supervised and arranged the company and employee relocation to Denver.

While in college, Kenneth began singing and leading music for Trinity Baptist Church. He continued doing this in California, New Jersey and Colorado. He and his first wife, Jean, helped several small churches in the Denver area get their start, leading the music and choirs. After moving to Lindale, Texas in 2015 he has been a faithful member of First Baptist Church.

Kenneth was married to Elizabeth Jean Myers for 43 years. He was preceded in death by her and their daughter Kimberly Rene Dolph, two sisters, Bobbie Jean Hanks and Mary Lee Washburn.

He is survived by his second wife, Joanna Jean (Gray) Patterson of Lindale, Texas and his granddaughter Jordan Nicole Cotter of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also, son-in-law Mark Cotter of Denver, Colorado and brother-in-law of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
