Thomas Alvin Betenbaugh, Jr., 80, of Villa Rica, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. He was born on October 23, 1941. He is the son of the late Alvin Betenbaugh, Sr., and the late Alma Walker Betenbaugh.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Pittman. He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Plyler: sons and daughters in law, Perry and Robin Plyler of Chelsea, Alabama, and Tracy and Tammy Betenbaugh of Villa Rica, Georgia; sister, Sandra Lewis of Lawrence, Georgia; brother, Billy Betenbaugh of Lawrenceville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Ashley Betenbaugh, Philip Betenbaugh, Samantha Coats, Stephanie Lauzon, and Conor Plyler, great grandchildren; Stella Coats, Harper Coats, and Carter Lauzon
He was a thirty year Veteran. He had several hobbies that included; fishing, playing and coaching sports, and enjoyed driving church bus.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Tuesday October 4, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Graveside Service will be Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. with Military Honors by US. Navy Honor Guard.
