Born in the Bronx, NY, and a Peninsula resident for the past 50 years, she was employed in the purchasing department of the Langley Research Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration before she retired in 1971. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 31, the Auxiliary of Newport News Barracks 770 of the Veterans of World War I, the Society of Military Widows, Chapter 682 of the National Association of Federal Employees and Lodge 2755 of the American Federal Government Employees at Langley Air Force Base.
Survivors include a son, Ellwood K. Reinhard of Hampton; and a brother, Bernard R. O'Rourke of Hampton. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Howard W. Saunders III of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
