She was born in Pulaski County on May 26, 1893, the daughter of the late Silas and Kitty Dobkins Burton. She was a homemaker and member of Burnside Church of God.
Survivors include four brothers, Johnny Burton, Indiana, Brack and Ray Burton, both of Somerset, and Pete Burton, Russell Springs; and two sisters, Omia Clark, Indiana, and Clarine Prather, Goodland, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Meece, and second husband, Beckham Brown; a son, Boyd Meece, two brothers, Dock and Blucher Burton; and two sisters, Halie Calhoun and Mary Hardwick.
Services were held Saturday, April 5, at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with burial following at Oak Hill Church Cemetery in Somerset.
