Born on March 23, 1934, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late James M. Bivins and Lillian Wills Bivins.
He was a lifelong resident of Moultrie. He was the owner of Bivins' All-American Realty where he was active in the real estate business for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Heritage Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Frank Bivins; and sister, Barbara Freeman.
Mr. Bivins is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wyolene Bivins; sons, Jim and Lisa Bivins, and David and Katrina Bivins, both of Moultrie; grandson, Russ Murphy; granddaughters, Ashley Lawrence and husband Cecil and Emily Adams and husband Carter; great grandchildren, Annie Bivins, Skyla Bivins, Lanier Lawrence, Anna Claire Lawrence, and Charlie David Adams.
