Lloyd W. Conrad was the son of Ernest and Minnie (Bohne) Conrad.
Three brothers, Alvin, Clarence and Paul Conrad. Three sisters, Luella Ellsworth, Viola Etzler and Gertrude Etzler.
Lloyd was the 1st husband of Mary Alice Winteregg, Conrad. Mary Conrad, remarried, she is now Mary Newell. Two sons, Nicholas and Hugh

Lloyd W. Conrad, 57, G.E. employee, former boxer, dies suddenly
Lloyd W. (Cooney) Conrad, 57, of 1222 Master Dr., Veteran General Electric Co. employee and former boxer in the Golden Gloves, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Friday after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. The well-known Decatur resident was employed at the local GE for 37 years and his last position was in the tool room. Mr. Conrad was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Decatur, Golden Gloves Fraternity, Decatur ;Merchants Bowling League and the Quarter Century Club at GE. “Cooney”, as he was known to his friends, boxed for many years in the Golden Gloves and was a middleweight champion in 1935 and traveled to the National Finals in Chicago, where he met and roomed with Joe Louis, former heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Mr. Conrad was an all-state guard in football while playing for Decatur high school and was active in Little League baseball as a coach and manager during the early years of LL in the 1950s. Born in Root township on may 29, 1916, he was a son of Ernst and Wilhemina Bohne-Conrad, and was married on Aug. 31, 1940, to Mary Alice Winteregg, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Nicholas of New Haven and Hugh of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Etzler of Van Wert, O., and Mrs. Harold (Gertrude) Etzler of route 2, Convoy, O.; two brothers, Alvin of Fort Wayne, Clarence of route 10, Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Tony, Chad and Scott. One sister, Luella Ellsworth, and one brother, Paul Conrad, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Zwick funeral home and at 10:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Ludwig officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight.
