The family received friends on Monday, Feb. 4, at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with burial at Beaufort National Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Livengood was born on May 24, 1918 in Rowan County, NC.He is the son of the late Walter A. Livengood and Jane Whitley Livengood.Mr. Livengood served our country for 27 years in the USMC.He was a former State Constable of South Carolina.He was a deputy sheriff for Beaufort County for over 20 years.
Surviving are one son, James David Livengood and one daughter, Brenda Kay Ermi both of Islandton, SC; eleven grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, John A. Livengood, Jr.
