Mr. Bruce Bennett, 55, of Bryson, Texas, died 8:50 a.m. July 8 in the Olney Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Bennett were conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, from the Bryson Baptist Church with Rev. Don Tatum of Bryson, and Rev. Lynn Wilson of Olney, officiating.
Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennett was a life-long resident. He was born Oct. 15, 1909 at Bryson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Orton Bennett, Sr.
Bennett married Miss Maudell Baker, 1929, in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Maudell married Lewis McCune probably in 1924. They lived in the community of Monument in Young Co., and had a daughter Lela Faye. Lewis was killed in a car accident in 1928 and is buried in Cottonwood Cemetery in Jack Co. Maudell married Bruce Bennett in 1929. They lived in Bryson and had a son, Donald Bruce. Bruce died in 1965 and is buried in Center Ridge Cemetery, Young Co.
