Frankie (Fran) Avinger 93 passed away on September 25, 2022. Born Frankie Louise Bradberry on January 16, 1929 in Union Springs, Alabama, to Mamie Ruth (O'Neal) and John Frank Bradberry, she was the last child to be born into her family.

Fran was proceeded in death by her six sisters and two brothers.

Fran married her high school sweetheart, C. E. "Butch" Avinger and enjoyed a number of years being a football and army wife before settling down in Birmingham, AL, where they raised their two girls.

Her husband Butch, passed away in 2008.

Fran is survived by her two daughters, both of Birmingham, Alabama.

During the last 7 years she has also enjoyed the company of her GranDog, Mina. Fran was a devoted wife and mother, a loving sister, sister-in-law, and aunt to her large extended family.

She lived a life of love and family filled with summers of camping at Lake Martin and ultimately living on Lay Lake. Since her husband's death in 2008, Fran has resided with her daughter Charlotte in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

At Fran's request, a graveside only service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, 10:00 AM CST, at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35214.
