OBITUARY
Another fair flower that budded and blossomed here on earth for only a few years has been transplanted to the land of eternal youth. Etta, the little daughter of David and Susan Shultz, died of diphtheria, aged 3 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was called home to rest Saturday night, August 8, 1896. Her sweet voice is hushed on earth but is singing praises to Him in Heaven. She did not fear death's chilly wave, and though her suffering was acute, she murmured not. We can sympathize with the father and mother in their loss, but tears and kind words cannot call her back. Her remains were followed by a large host of friends and relatives to the Henry Cemetery where she was laid to rest.

The gentle voice now is hushed.
Thy warm true heart is still;
And on thy young and innocent brow,
Is resting death's cold chill.

Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast,
We have kissed thy lovely brow;
And in thy aching hearts we know
We have no darling now.
