Gerald R. Diller, 71, of here, died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday at Putnam Acres Care Center.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1920, in Columbus Grove, the son of Elmer and Leah Basinger Diller. His stepmother, Mabel Diller, survives in Bucyrus. On April 6, 1947, he married Kathrine Hermon who survives.
Mr. Diller was a farmer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay.
Other survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Lynn (Jane) Bauman of Milford Center, and Jody Diller of Phoenix Arizona, one grandchild, two brothers; Donald Diller of Benton Ridge, and Winford Diller of Findlay, two half-brothers; Carl Parsons of Findlay, and Eugene Diller of Bucyrus, and one sister; Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Bartels of Findlay.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Bluffton Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight L. Allen and Rev. Harold Rettig officiating. Burial will be in Harman Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Christian School or Calvary Baptist Church, both in Findlay.
