Gladys E. Watson was born in Ware on July 27, 1928 a daughter to Lola (nee Hileman) and Thomas Rogers, Sr. She died on September 24, 2022 at de greeff Hospice House at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter Gwen Scott of De Soto; her son Jim Watson, De Soto; her grandchildren: Tim (Marie) Watson, Carl Watson, William Scott, Amy Scott, Lance Scott, Rochelle (Jeremy) Bringer, Leasa (Bucky) Hawkins, and Nicole Watson; twenty great grandchildren; twenty four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alvin G. "Glen" Watson; three sons: Gary Watson, Alvin Watson and Tim Watson; one granddaughter Michelle Watson and one great great grandchild; four sisters: Grace (Ed) Crammer, Nancy (Charles) Wall, Shirley (Dennis) Drennen and Delores (Kenneth) Brown and two brothers Thomas Rogers, Jr. and Donald (Pauline) (Shirley) Rogers. Gladys had retired from the De Soto Shoe Factory and with her husband Glen owned and operated Watson Salvage Yard. She was a generous person and a wonderful cook who enjoyed family reunions and other family gatherings. She was still working in her flower gardens into her 90's and also enjoyed quilting. She had also participated in stock car races and demolitions derby's in her younger years.
