Died: Saturday, April 23, Mrs. Alice Dobson, wife of Aleck Dobson. Funeral Sunday at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. McPherson. Interment in Pleasant View Baptist cemetery.

Mrs. Alice Dobson who has been sick for some three weeks, seemed greatly improved Saturday forenoon , so much so that the Doctor consented to her walking to her parents, Mr. Allreads [sic: Allred]. But her husband thought it not safe. She soon felt poorly and told her husband she was going to die and in thirty minutes was a corpse.
Funeral services was [were] held at Pleasant View church conducted by Rev. Ben. McPherson. Was intered in the cemetery there. She was only a bride of three months leaves a husband, brother, sister and parents which have the heartfelt sympathy to the community.

Clara Alice Allred, usually called Alice, married Perry Alexander Dobson on December 25, 1897, in Cherokee County, Kansas.
