RITES SET FOR EUSTACE FOLEY
Former Optician Here Dies at Pythian Home

Eustace D Foley, 85, former Greensburg optician, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Indiana Pythian Home at Lafayette, according to a message received here.

Rites for Mr Foley will be held at the Pythian Home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, after which the body will be shipped to Greensburg, arriving here about 7 p.m. The body will be taken to the Oliger funeral home, where friends may call after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services in Greensburg will be held at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev Stanley P Mahan, pastor of the Greensburg Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be made in South Park cemetery.

Born in Fugit township south of Springhill on July 10, 1861, he was the son of John and Elmira Hood Foley. His marriage to Helen Rankin, sister of Miss Rose Rankin of this city, took place on September 4, 1900. His wife preceded him in death on October 13, 1904.

TAUGHT SEVERAL YEARS
Mr Foley was educated in the Decatur county schools and at Indiana University. He taught for a number of years in the schools of Decatur county and in the Greensburg schools during the period in which Edgar Mendall was superintendent. (incomplete article)
