Donald Ray "Nig" Shepherd, age 71, husband of Shirley Hall Shepherd of Keavy, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at his residence. He was the father of Carlo Shepherd and wife Leah, and Leslie Vaughn all of London, Kentucky, and Lori Ellis of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, the brother of Van Shepherd of Keavy, Kentucky, James Shepherd and wife Shirley of London, Kentucky and Francis Fugate of Hamilton, Ohio. He is also survived by four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Wendy Levelle: by his parents, Bige Shepherd and Sadie Feltner Shepherd. Funeral Services for Donald Ray "Nig" Shepherd will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2016 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Hale and J.D. Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at with DAV A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in charge of military honors. The family of Donald Ray "Nig" Shepherd will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Pallbearers will be Carlo Shepherd, Hutton Shepherd, Alvin Shepherd, Harold Bales, Johnny Bowling, Stacy Shepherd, Jeff Phelfry, Adam Shepherd, and Glenn Woods. Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Mitchell.
