Brother of Leonard D. Prebble, both are on the 1930 & 1940 Census' together.
Leland (L.D.) married Phyllis Marie CLARK and Colleen Marie PREBBLE Frisell is their daughter.

OBIT:
L.D. Prebble, Dansville, L.D. Prebble, age 81, died surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Jackson, MI after a courageous bout with cancer; born May 17, 1927, the 6th of 8 children to William Vern and Zeta Mae (Dudley) Prebble in Lansing, MI. L.D. served in the Army/Air Force and Navy during and after WWII through the Korean Conflict, served in the Pacific Theater including Okinawa and Guam as a mechanic including repair on the P38 jet. Retiring in 1980, he worked 30 years at Oldsmobile and GM mostly as a diesel mechanic repairing the forklifts and semi tractors. He met and married Phyllis Marie Clark of Elsie, MI, June 13, 1948, who survives him. He then built the first family home in Williamston at his mother's farm to assist with the farming. In 1959, when I-96 was built, the home was found to be in the right-of-way. Moving to Dansville in 1960, he and Phyllis purchased a 75-acre farm and lived there for 40 years raising their family. He was a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen Frisell in 1993. Also surviving are sons Mickey, Leland (Carolyn), Kelly (Jeanie) and Dana, son-in-law Gary Frisell, and several grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the VFW Jean R. Anderson Post #7309, 1243 Hull Road, Mason, MI. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., with a luncheon immediately following the service until 4:00 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society , 3100 West Road, Building B, Suite 110, East Lansing, MI 48823; or the Breslin Cancer Center, 401 W. Greenlawn, Lansing, MI 48910. The family thanks all of the caregivers at Lloyd Ganton Assisted Living Facilities and hospice workers for their loving care. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason, MI.
