Born January 23, 1929, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Louis Kusner and Lillian Silverman Kusner.
Jerry attended Burke Street and John Street schools and was a 1947 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was a member of the Beth Jacob Congregation having served as treasurer for six years, then as secretary for ten years, followed by four years as trustee.
He retired from Capital Cement Company in Martinsburg.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served from 1947 to 1950.
Jerry was Past Master, of the Equality Lodge #44, A.F. & A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty- five years, Phyllis Hartley Kusner, a brother, Edwin P. Kusner and a sister, Clarissa J. Kusner.
A Masonic graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Rosedale Cemetery with Chaplin Wayne Clark officiating. Services dates and times are tentative.,
His request was that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Martinsburg- Berkeley County Boys and Girls Club, PO Box 1184, Martinsburg, WV 25402 or to the Martinsburg Library, 101 West King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
