His grave is in the defuncted Churchyard of the Trinity Episcopal Church, underneath the Parish House. Benjamin's tombstone and the stones of his 1st WIFE Mary Newell and two sons can been seen inside a utility room connected to the church.


1st Marriage to Mary Newell. She buried in the Trinity Episcopal Church Yard. Grave is located underneath the Parish House of Trinity Episcopal Church. Children from this union were:

John Newell (1839 - 1863)

Sarah (1840 -1860), m. Henry Clay Pleasants

Clara (1840 - 1878), m. Howard Tevis

William Newell (1844 - 1844)

Minnie (1850 - 1907), m. Thomas Ricart


2nd Marriage to Mary Martha Sherwood (Dec 1857) in Philadelphia. They had one son together, Freddie Bannan (1862 - 1877). Both Mary Martha Sherwood and Freddie are buried in Charles Baber Cemetery.


3nd Marriage to Anna Wolfe (nee Unknown) marriage is referenced in Benjamin Bannan's Last Will and Testament.
