Eight children were John Finnie; Attaway Ann (1832-1911)(unm.); Frances Eliza; Mary Byrd; Rowena (1837-52); Rives (1840-1909)(dsp) who married Mary Dyer (1855-1940); Ellen Martin (1842-1913)(dsp), a music teacher; and Mary Gibson Casey (1845-1929)(unm.).
