SMYTHE, RONNIE, 61, of Irving,TX died August 19, 2004 at an Irving hospital. Born November 12, 1942 in Belton, Texas, he retired in 2000 after thirty-six years at Otis Elevator in Dallas. Ronnie loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving. Survivors include his wife Dixie Smythe; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Teresa Smythe and their children Ronald Smythe, Randal Smythe and Teresa Ryann Smythe, all of Keller; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Jason Blevins and their children Jacob Blevins and Garrett Blevins, all of Arlington; mother Ola Smythe of Belton; sisters Betty Waters of Mabank, Connie Duffield of Bryan; and brother James Smythe of Mesquite. Service 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2004 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wallace Philpot officiating. Graveside service 5:00 p.m., Monday at Holland Cemetery in Holland, Texas.
