Rosalie Catherine Molloy, 78, of New York passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA. She was born June 27, 1944 in the Bronx to August and Flora Van Nosdall. She married Joseph D. Molloy, Jr. on April 24, 1965, he preceded her in death on June 4, 2000.

When her kids were little and well into their teens the family enjoyed their summer vacations to the Navy Rec Center Solomons in Solomons, MD. They spent many early mornings and nights crabbing, most of the time giving them away since she was the only one that ate them. Rosalie was the founding member of the Widow's Might at Encounter Church. Her guilty pleasure was collecting fabric. She loved to make quilts. She made quilts for all the members of her family most of them have two. She had begun working on finding fabric and started quilts for any future great-grandkids that come along.

She was surrounded by her loving children, William Molloy (Jeanine) of Germany, Joseph Molloy, III (Michelle) of Cape Coral, FL and Kerrie Mattice (Scott) of Spotsylvania, VA; five grandsons Ryan, Joshua, Caleb, Kurt and Joseph; six granddaughters Sabrina, Jessica, Brittney, Sydney, Victoria and Lindsay; and three great-grandsons, Wyatt, Colt and Greylon.
