Born June 9, 1937 in Richmond, Aliceon grew up in Byllesby and Pulaski and was a graduate of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida where she was a member of ADPi sorority. Aliceon was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley and served in many volunteer roles, including organizing the popular Sidewalk Art Show in Downtown Roanoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Chase Clark and Aliceon Davison Clark, a son, Matthew Clark Gardner, and former husband, John Everette Gardner, Jr.
