George Y. Fujii, age 80, passed away Sept. 24, 2001 at his home.
Born March 17, 1921 in West Jordan, Utah to Joichi Fujii and Chiyomi Kanda. Married Yoshie Matsumoto Feb. 25, 1949.
Survived by his wife, Yoshie, and daughters Vicki A. (James) Matsumori, Murray; and Doris D. (Scott) Freebairn, Layton; and grandchildren Jessica, Dustin and Kathryn Matsumori; Brittany and Alyson Freebairn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Sept. 28, 2001, 12 p.m. at the South Cottonwood 16th Ward Chapel 5235 Wesley Rd. Family and friends may call Thurs. from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Friday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at Murray City Cemetery.
