Tacy's obituary read: "Mrs. Tacy Ann Stovall, 73, died at her home at 512 Robinson Street, at 9:35 A.M. (November 9, 1962). She had been bedfast three months and in ill health a year. Born March 28, 1889, in Vermilion County, she was daughter of William and Valina Frances Clem Wynn. Her mother died when she was five years of age and she was reared by foster parents Gared and Hattie Davis. She married in Danville June 20, 1908, to James Oras Stovall, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, James M. of Danville; three daughters, Mrs. Fern Reed and Mrs. Juanita Epperson, both of Danville, and Miss Guinevere Stovall, at home; a brother, Samuel Wynn and a sister, Mrs. Dora Makemson, both of Danville, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Mrs. Stovall was a member of Lincoln Methodist Church, the 33rd Division of the Women's Club, the Women's Society of Christian Service and the Merry Mixers. The body is at the Berhalter Funeral Home where friends will be received 7-9 P.M. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edgar Houldridge officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery."
