George William Eoff was the son of Aaron Eoff and Saphronia Abbott, natives of Arkansas and Alabama respectively. His siblings were Frances Elizabeth (Eoff) Johnson, Elmo L Eoff, Lois (Eoff) Fielder, Tiny Jewell (Eoff) Wallace and Herbert D Eoff (d.y.).

George was unmarried. He served in the United States Army in World War II as a private, enlisting October 15, 1942 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas. At that time he was an automobile serviceman.

Anson (Texas)--Nov 9 Pfc G W Eoff, son of Mrs Aaron Eoff, who earned five battle stars in Europe, has returned here with his honorable discharge, received at Fort Sam Houston.
Eoff sailed Jan 29, 1944 and was in Scotland and England until the invasion of France. His outfit landed on Utah beach,fought near Brest, and through Belgium. He was in Luxembourg several months and took part in the Battle of the Bulge. At war's end he was near the eastern boundary of Germany."
