Obituary from the Lake Charles American Press, Friday, Jan 17, 1947:

Angede Benoit Dies Thursday -- Funeral services for Angede Benoit, 53, 3425 Reid Street, who died at 4:35 Thursday, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Hi-Mount. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery in charge of Hixson funeral home.

The body will lie at the residence until 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Iva Benoit; a stepson, Julius W. LeBleu; four brothers, Simeon Simon, Joseph A. and Valmont Benoit; and four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hebert of Big Lake, and Mrs. Charles Davis [sic], Mrs. Telesmar Guidry and Mrs. Mae A. Guidry, all three of Lake Charles.
