Mr. Dean Flay Blackwell, 82, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the memorial service at 11:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Epiphany Lutheran Church 2370 West Main St. Rock Hill, SC 29732, with Pastor Ken Gillikan officiating.
Born in Kings Mountain, NC, Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by his brother George William Blackwell; sister, Martha Faye Adkins; and parents, Bright and Novella Lee Shipman Blackwell. He was a member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church, a US Air Force Veteran and a graduate of Furman University.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Catherine Anne Blackwell; sons, Harrison Lee Blackwell (Cynthia) and Timothy Dean Blackwell (Connie) of Shelby, NC; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Blackwell Janiskee (Dan) of Columbia, SC, Caroline Hammond Blackwell Brown (Andrew) of Rock Hill; and brother, Donald Ray Blackwell (Ruth) of Mauldin, SC.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House PO Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731.
