Burnette, 84, were held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Antioch Methodist church with Rev. Steve Arnold officiating, assisted by Rev. Z. L. Perdue. Burial was in the church cemetery with Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Burnette died Thursday at the Upson County Hospital following an extended illness. He resided on the Franklindale Road. Mr. Burnette, a retired farmer, was a native Upsonian. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs.Charlie Daniel, Mrs. Alfred Hammond, Mrs. Jake Bridges and Mrs. Scott Thompson, all of Thomaston; Mrs. Grady S. Wheeless, Norwood; one brother, Oscar Burnette, Thomaston; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survive.
