Services for Artie Murl Colbert, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will be at Lone Cedar Cemetery under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Mrs. Colbert was born March 14, 1906, at Baum, Indian Territory, to Benjamin and Annie V. Millington Allison. She died Feb. 22, 2001, in a local health care facility.

Raised in Ardmore, she married Isom Colbert on Sept. 3, 1927, in Brown, and returned to Ardmore from Oklahoma City in 1974. She was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors in clude her husband, Isom, of the home; daughters, Letitia Smith and her husband, Bill, of Kingston, Vicky Bolte and her husband, Bill, of McAlester, and Laquita Potter and her husband, Earl, of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, V.F. Colbert and wife, Wanda, of Tucson, Ariz., and James Colbert of Arkansas; a sister, Claudine Hathcox of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Steve Smith, Charles Smith, Matt Bolte, Ken Barbour, Ron Colbert and Jack Hensley. Honorary bearers will be Willie Jo Allison, Bennie Allison and Emmitt Allison.
