Anita L. Sánchez, a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 27, 2013.
Anita is survived by her husband of 52 years, Manuel Sánchez of Albuquerque, NM. In addition, she is survived by her son, Manny Sánchez, daughter, Linda and her husband, Joe, brother, Alfonso Martínez and his wife, Solie and brother, Joseph Martínez and his wife, Lorraine. Anita had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Mabel Martínez and her sisters, Julie Lucero and Bonnie Martínez.
Anita was a beloved wife and mother. Anita enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards and spending time with friends. Most recently, sharing pictures and updates on Facebook.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd. at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral Mass to follow. The burial will take place at the Santa Fé National Cemetery at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers are her five grandsons, JM Sánchez, Tyler Sánchez, Damon Sánchez, Matthew Leong and Michael Leong.
