Adrianus was a Dutch civilian war casualty of World War II. The city of Eindhoven was celebrating the Allied arrival in the Netherlands on September 18, 1944; the city was alive with parties and festivities all day, stretching into night. In the darkness, the German planes came. The city was subjected to a brutal bombardment targeting the recently arrived Allied paratroopers. Civilians took shelter wherever they could... but once the bombs had fallen and dust had settled, 227 civilians were dead.

Adrianus was one of the youngest victims of the bombing.
