PARSONS, W. Va. - Mrs. Lona Hitt, 37, formerly of here, died yesterday morning at her home in Brandy, Va., following an illness of several months.
She was born at Davis, a daughter of Mrs. Lona (Huff) Marsh, of here, and the late Porter L. Marsh.
Mrs. Marsh taught school here for nine years before moving to Brandy six years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Claude T. Hitt; a son, Claude T. Jr.; a stepson, Lewis F. Hitt, all of Brandy; and two sisters, Miss Jean Marsh, Charlottesville, Va., and Mrs. Clarence Reed, of here.
Graveside rites will be conducted here tomorrow at 3 p m. by Rev. A. Brooke Withers, of Kerns.
Burial will be in Parsons Cemetery.
