A Burial Eucharist for The Rev. Halsey DeWolf Howe, 86, Boothbay Harbor, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Columba's Church in Boothbay Harbor.
The Rev. Howe died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine.
He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Bristol, R.I., the son of Wallis Eastburn Howe and Mary Locke Howe. He lived in Rockland, Maine, and Boothbay Harbor during his retirement.
The Rev. Howe was ordained to the priesthood in 1946 and served at Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield, Mass., Grace Church and St. Andrew's Church on Martha's Vineyard, Mass., Christ Church in Hamilton, Mass., St. Christopher's Church, Gladwyne, Penn., St. Martin's Church, Providence, R.I., and St. Mark's Church, Springfield, Vt. He retired in 1986 and assisted at various local Episcopal churches, including at St. Columba's, Boothbay Harbor, which he attended.
He married Carol Edgelow. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, David, Bend, Ore., Thomas, Lawrence, Kan., and Mark, Burlington, Vt.; four daughters, Mary and Priscilla, both of Lawrence, Faith, Madison, Wis., and Deborah, Norwood, Mass.; a brother, Herbert M., Fort Atkinson, Wis.; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
