Carrie Elizabeth Crawford was born to George Henry Crawford and pearl Love Crawford on January 18, 1948. She was the 10th of 14 children.

Carrie attended Green Bay School until she graduated. Carrie's class was the last class to graduate from Green Bay before desegregation. She moved to San Diego California after graduation. Carrie attended San Diego City College. While in California, she was employed with Prudential Insurance and later Robert Rents Furniture as an accountant. Carrie later moved back home to Palestine, where she was employed by Artifacts and Palestine Answering Service.

Carrie was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Carrie married Charles P. Fraley II, to this union one child was born. She later married Leslie McMiller.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Griffith Crawford and Ethel Turner; 5 brothers, Charles, Richard, Herman, Curtis and George Crawford.

Loving survivors, son , Charles Paul Farley III, ; grandchildren, Cari Fraley, Charles P. Fraley, Mya, and Quin Fraley; sisters, Alice Crawford, Versalean Logans, Lola Abron, Diane Davis, Marva Shepherd and Margie Tyson ; special friend, Bob Charleton; a host of relatives and friends.
