Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Julius Garland Ellis, and Thelma Mae Weaver Ellis.
Mrs. Rose managed David's Tree Service, the family business for 25+ years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, David Rose Jr. She is survived by her four children: Brian Keith Ellis (Tammy) of Roxboro, Pete Hamilton Rose (Teresa) of Stovall, Kris Nolan Rose (Melissa) of Henderson, and Shannon Adele Ramsey (Day'Lee) of Stovall; ten grandchildren, April (Tommy), Brandy (Brian), Davey (Bailey), Allison, Kelly (Jason), Katie, Zachary, Hunter, Devin, and Caley; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford, conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews. Interment will immediately follow the service at Stovall Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 4, 2022, from 12:30-1:45 p.m., at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford, and at all other times at the home of Shannon and Day'Lee Ramsey (Doug's Shop).
