Charles Omer Brown, 77, died at the Rush County Home at 8:30 a.m.. today after a weeks illness. A former farm laborer, Mr. Brown was residing in Jackson Township when he entered the county home 10 years ago. He was born in Rush County on May 23, 1883, the son of Buck and Alice Smith Brown. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ona Walker Brown of Rush County; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Stafford of Homer and Mrs. Elsie Jones of Connersville; a sister, Mrs. Noda Young, of Rushville, a brother, Clifton Brown of Circleville, and 18 grandchildren. The Rev. Richard Merriman will conduct services at 10 a.m. Friday at the Wyatt Moore Memorial, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday. Place of burial was undetermined at press time.
