Sofronia Leola (Lee) "Toots" Behrens, 81 of Springfield, MO, passed away August 28, 2022. She was born October 30, 1940 in Springfield, MO to John Thomas and Elsie Sofronia Muse (nee Lee).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin D. Behrens, in 2001, her babies, a son, Mark Allen Henry and a daughter Janet Lee Henry, two brothers William (Bill) Albert Muse and John Ray Muse, a baby sister Frances, and her parents.
Lee is survived by one brother, Donald (DJ) James Muse and wife (Jeanne). She is also survived by thirteen nieces, and nephews, 43 great nieces, and nephews and 72 great-great nieces, and nephews plus one great-great-great niece and several cousins.
She loved being an aunt and "Aunt Toots" was young at heart for a lot of years she loved playing and having a good time with all those nieces and nephews. She was game for most anything, singing, dancing, baseball, football!!
Lee was baptized on the 22nd of May 1955, at High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, MO
She attended Central High School and worked as a waitress at Taylor's Drive Inn down by the square in Springfield. She traveled all over the US with her 1st husband who was in the military and even went overseas to Germany and got to visit several neighboring countries while stationed there. Later in life she worked at a few different banks, she worked at Metropolitan National Bank in Springfield for several years and always enjoyed working with the customers and helping them with any issues, they had a Mouse as their Mascot and two of her great nieces Crystal and Davina worked on Saturdays as the Mascot she always got a kick out of taking pictures of them with the kids and helping the kids that came in to open savings accounts. Anyone that knew Lee knew that she was a people person; she never knew a stranger and was always there to assist. She was also an avid reader she loved a little romance and a little mystery.
