Lou served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. She was a life-long resident of San Antonio, Texas. She loved birds, especially hummingbirds, and flowers, particularly wildflowers. Lois and Lou loved travelling to "The West". She spent many years as a volunteer with the Blue Bird organization at the Methodist Hospital here in San Antonio. Lois was a seasoned expert when it came to the art of crochet. She created many beautiful and personalized items, spending hour after hour working with her hands. Her patience was remarkable! Her cooking skills were as remarkable. She could whip up a meal at the drop of a hat, and it was always a pleasure to eat it! She was a devoted Christian, and was active in her church for many years. Lois was also a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great grandmother to each and every one of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
