He was born on February 10, 1934, in Crawford County, near Hutsonville, Illinois, to Carl and Maude Guyer. He worked at Quaker Maid and then retired from Great Dane with a total of 41 years of service. He was a member of the Nazarene Church. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and Southern Gospel concerts.
He married his sweetheart, Marsha May Campbell on June 16, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and then on July 4, 2012, his loving wife of 55 years Marsha Guyer, and a son Steve Guyer.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery, in Bowling Green, Indiana.
