Kenneth Leon Chambers, 88, of Spencer, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He was born on July 2, 1934 in Bloomington; the son of Raymond and Ada (Luther) Chambers.

Kenny was the Maintenance Director for Bloomington Hospital for 13 years before joining Local Union 136 – Plumbing and Steam Fitters. He also owned his own control business and was a member of Bloomington Masonic Lodge #43, having joined in 1959. Kenny was a hard worker by nature and enjoyed taking walks along with his frequent visits with friends at McDonalds.

Kenny is survived by his children, Kenneth Larry (Tammy) Chambers, Kim Michelle (Dr. Jesse) Phillips, Felecia (Stan) Weidner, and Kenda (Robert) Griffith; grandchildren, Bridget (Joe) Zelezney, Brooke (Chris) Neal, Amy Chambers, Jesse Baynes, Jesse (Kayla) Phillips IV, Connor (Mercy) Phillips) Reagan Phillips, Amanda Hillenburg, Allison (Blake) Tyler, David Weidner, Shawn (Bailey) Weidner, Drew Weidner, Gavin (Sarah) Griffith, Emma Griffith, and Jonah Griffith; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Charles, Carson, Megan, Mia, Kennison, Desie, Alexa, Mason, Cayden, Lexzie, Milee, Paislee, Ella, and Alex; along with several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Chambers; daughter, Sherry Jones; granddaughter, Kelley Chambers; grandson, Shadd Snoddy; and sister, Carol Lively.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
