MRS. G. F. DENNEY DIES AT AGE OF 69

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Spring Creek Church for Mrs. G. F. Denney, who died Thursday morning last week at the age of 69. Burial was in the Spring Creek Cemetery. The Rev. John Silvey officiated.

Mrs. Denney lived six miles southwest of Ava.

Martha Hammons was born in Christian County, February 25, 1873. She married G. W. Gregory in 1890 and to them two children were born, Monroe Gregory and Susie Gregory Holt. On March 2, 1899, she married G. F. Denney and to them three children were born.

She was preceded in death by three children, Monroe Gregory, Susie Holt and Zell Denney.

She is survived by the huband, G. F. Denney, two daughters, Vivian Roe, of Oakland, California, and Verda Blakey of Manhattan, Kansas, a grandson she reared from infancy, Donald Holt of Camp Claiborne, Louisiana, four other grandchildren, Aloma Cull, Freda Szkeres and Derrell and Leonard Roe, two great-grandchildren, Aloma Sue Cull and Sandra Ann Szkeres and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Sanders of Seneca.
