Marguerite C. Paules, Ephrata, PA (Formerly of York, PA) died at Luther Acres Manor in Lititz, PA on August 27, 2022. She was the wife of the late Ralph H. Paules. Born February 12, 1923 in York County, PA, she was the daughter of the late John A. "Berry" Gettle and the late Annie E. (Tracey) Gettle-McKeever. Marguerite is survived by a granddaughter, Barbara D. Willard and her husband Corey of York and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis A. Paules of Ephrata, PA. She had two sisters, Madeline Bowman and Mildred Boyer, a step-sister Ella Clipp and a step-brother, Edward McKeever. In addition to her husband, mother and father, Marguerite was also preceded in death by a son, James R. Paules and a step-sister, Shirley Dickey. Marguerite was a 1940 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. She retired in 1983 as Assistant Manager of the Payroll Department for McCrory's following seventeen years of employment. She was a member and former treasurer of the Kreutz Creek Valley Lioness Club and volunteered at the "Feeds" at the Hellam Fire Company. She attended Locust Grove United Church of Christ in York. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street Wrightsville, PA with the Rev. Susan Oelrich, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville, PA. A viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
