[OBITUARY]
Frank M. Cody died yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mr. J. J. Haycraft, 679 Mildred Street, after an illness of several months. He was in his 78th year. Mr. Cody was born in Pike County. His entire life was spent in Pike and Crenshaw Counties. He was a swell planter and was always in the front ranks in any movement. For years he was clerk of the Circuit Court of Crenshaw county. For the past 15 years he had retired from active business and after the death of his wife a year and half ago he went to Montgomery to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. J. J. Haycraft. The deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. J. J. Haycraft, J. D. Cody of Montgomery and J. M. Cody of Luverne. The body of Mr. Cody was laid in its last resting place at Rutledge Cemetery on Saturday. (The Luverne Journal - April 11, 1907)
