Johnny Berniece Ford McGreevy, 93, of Longview, died April 11, 2002 at Hospice Care Center. She was born Jan. 31, 1909 in Amite, LA.

She received her education there and married W. Marshall Ford in Louisiana, then moved to Ryderwood, then Longview in 1940. He died in 1959. In 1962 she married Gordon A. McGreevy. She managed the 29th Avenue Hands' Drug Store during the 1950s and 1960s. She was a sweet lady who expressed her "southern hospitality" on all occasions. She was caring and willing to give, a genuine friend, loved by all who knew her.

Surviving are her second husband; a son, James "Jim" Ford of Anacortes, WA; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Deceased besides her first husband are three daughters, Peggy, Laura, and Lorraine "Bodgie".

Services will be at 11 am Tuesday at Steele Chapel with chaplain Lonnie Hamby officiating.
