SSGT Julian "Fred" Gaultney, USAF, age 89, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Fred was born on December 7, 1932, in Reynolds, Georgia, to the late Mercer and Susie Peterman Gaultney.

With great honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military career, Fred dedicated his time to Robins Air Force Base working in Planning and Programming until his retirement.

Fred loved life, adored his family and honored his country. He was a Northside Eagle Fan and helped with the booster club for many years. Fred loved sports and could be found watching his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews participate in their activities when he was not behind the scenes coaching, umpiring or refereeing.

Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Gaultney; son, Kevin Pruett; six brothers and six sisters.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Cherie Bedsole; granddaughter, Melissa King (James); grandsons, Chris Pruett and Eric Pruett (Cameron); eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation with Fred's family will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Following the service, Fred will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery
