Charles W. "Bill" Peyton, 88, of South Charleston, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House West.

He was retired from the US Postal Service with 32 years of service, a former member of the Charleston Moose Lodge, worked as a handyman, enjoyed boating, was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan, and loved the monthly breakfast with other Postal Retirees. Charles proudly served his country in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles A. and Susan Dudley Peyton and seven sisters.

Charles is survived by his children Phyllis Frederick and husband Rodger, Mark Peyton and wife Peggy, and Thomas Peyton; loving grandchildren Lindsay Richardson, Jordan Frederick, Grace Peyton, Isabella Peyton, and great-granddaughter Peyton Horton.

A memorial celebration of Charles' life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Noon at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 2002 20th St., Nitro, WV 25143 with Pastor Joel Harpold officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to Noon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202 or The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
