Margie Lorene Ackerman, 78, of Blessing, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was born January 26, 1929 in Deutschburg, TX to the late Leo P. and Martha Neuszer. The life long resident of Blessing was a homemaker, a 30 years member of the Bay City Bowling Association, and a member of the Midfield Home Demonstration Club. She was an avid quilter, winning many awards for her quilting talents.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" W. Ackerman, Sr. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband of 54 years on the date of their wedding anniversary.

She is survived by daughters: Eileen Ackerman & Fred Sailor of Elgin; Gale Rush & husband C.W. of Markham; son: Wayne Ackerman, Jr & wife Brenda of Uvalde; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2007 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX.
