Gerald "Jerry" Vernon Trautvetter, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 5, 1937 to the late Clifford Trautvetter and Leona (Drew) Hudson.

He honorably served in the United States Army under General Patton. Jerry worked as a mechanic and truck driver. Above all else, Jerry loved his family. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Carrie Mounlio (Dexter) of Evansville, IN; son, Jay Trautvetter of Evansville, IN; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Trautvetter; his parents; sisters, Beverly and Jenny; and brothers, Gene and R.C.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. The Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military honors.

Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Tuesday at Browning Funeral Home.
